I have the things to start a scrap book I just dont know where to start. I have seen friends books and they are so cute I am just afraid that if I try to do one myself it isnt going to turn out as good. What can I do to create my own book?

First decide what kind are you doing (friends, family, pets)
Second get ideas. you could go to a scrapbooking store, ask friends, make your own
third, start the only way to make it is to start(but first do 1 and 2)
Fourth when your done hope for the best people like it, its more important you like it
don’t be afraid…. everyone has their own style and it can be simple or complex, fancy and colourful or plain and neutral…. it’s all up to you. That’s what scrapping is all about.
Go to your local walmart. You’ll get tons of stuff to start with. A 12X12 scrapbook, papers, ribbon, embellishments and instructions. Michael’s is a good place too, but can be pricey if you are just beginning. There are lots of websites on scrapping too, and you can get millions of ideas for your pages. All you really need is your photos and memories….it’s lots of fun.
blessings.
first, take a bunch of your favorite pics and arrange them in a way that expresses you throughout the book. Then, add sparkles, glitter, paper, and whatever else expresses yourself. The book is all about you and your pictures so to start and finish, make it something that expresses you and others in the pics.
don’t panic. set your scrapbooking into themes. then decide if you want to have a chronological book or one for each social group, for example one for family pictures and another for pictures you would never show your parents. then take it from there
Creative Memories has some great ideas or go to the local Micheals they quite often offer classes. Failing that have a party get your friends and famiy involved.
Your scrapbook should be what you like and what you want to put in it. There are no right or wrongs. There are all sorts of suggestions I am sure you can find on the Internet
I just started my first and I sometimes feel overwhelmed, too. I joined a scapbook group at my church and also am having a friend teach me.Many scapbook supply stores have classes. I’d say pick a theme and then decide if you want to have the pictures in chronological order or not. be patient and experiment putting different pics and patterns on each page before permantly sticking them to the page. Your first scrapbook may not be great-mine isn’t going to be fabulous. But it’s a fun and relaxing hobby and I believe that’s all that matters. Also they sell sets where everything is together-matching paper, stickers, etc. I’d say start with that.
If you’re not so creative go to a scrapbook site or maybe a store to get some other cool ideals. I am a girl scout leader and we started this last month and the girls just took off with it and I used the sites and the stores to get my first ideas.
