the book itself will be the most costly thing but anywhere starting from $10 and the other items you can get at dollar stores and also whatever items have meaning to put in the book ie, concert tickets etc

go to big lots the scrap books are like only $3 just use normal cutters if you dont have any they are $2 pr plastic are 50 cents scrapbook wall paper is somtimes 10-50 cents a peice just get a book with cardbord paper if cheeper you can tell because lets say the book has 50 peices of paper in it and it is 1.50 and the paper at the store is is 10 cents then to buy the paper at the store it is 5 DOLLARS but the paper in the book is still only 1.50!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’ve seen ‘recycled’ hardcover books where you tear out every two pages, leave one, tear out two, etc, then collage and cover the remaining pages, paint the cover and back and decorate that, and have something very unique. Using old newspapers for the background, or maps, or anything really, would be free if you have those laying around. Nothing says you have to spend money on it. Paints, glitter, photos, rubber stamp designs, collage, the ideas are endless.
