When I do scrapbooking, I put as many pictures and captions as I can. That way it’s easier to look back on a memory. but if u have saved ticket stubs or brochures that’s always good too. I do know people who put gifts in scrapbooks too, my cousin buys jewelry and hangs it in the scrapbook if she’s giving it as a gift. It all depends on how much your willing to give into it.

make it as private and personal as you possibly can.

go far and deep into your mind and memories — did anything embarrassing happen to you and her together as a child?
Putting something very personal that you remember, in her scrapbook could make her smile. For instance, when I was 8 years old, I used to have this thing (which btw is coming BACK) called a PogoBall. I used to be GODLY on that.. One day mom & dad were talking in a big circle out in the yard with some friends and I thought I would be all uber and go hop around them really high and impress them all. Just when I got very high __uber__ off the ground, i fell on my ass in the CENTER of their little circle and everyone started laughing……..and all i could do amidst the embarrassment was look up at my mother and make a half-wave and say hiiiiiiii. so for years she would just look at me , wave and say hiiiiiiii. so i could put a pic of myself waving and put the caption ” h i i i i i i i i ” and she would remember, and smile.

Or my father.. used to wake me ( and only me.. i had a twin that preferred to sleep ) up at 3am to go into the kitchen and make a bottle for one of calves. I still remember the smell of the formula. Daddy would help me hold up the heavy bottle to feed Flossy ( my calve’s name..) So I would find a picture of my dad and i feeding a calf and put ‘ Early Riser ‘ as a caption.

Anyways. i know i elaborated — a lot. but i know that when you are designing something, your brain freezes.. I hope I have inspired you to dig very deep.

    =)

I love quotes! Put in quotes about motherhood, family, birthdays, getting older, et cetera….
